RMEC MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Yearly membership dues are $25 for individuals and $15 for additional family members. Membership is for 12 months from the end of the month we receive your application. Make your check payable to RMEC and mail it and this application to RMEC, P.O. BOX 452, Red Oak, NC 27868
I know that running and volunteering to work in club activities are potentially hazardous activities. I should not enter and run in club activities unless I am able to safely complete any run. I assume all risks associated with running and volunteering to work in the club activities including, but not limited to falls, contacts with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application for membership, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act in my behalf, waive and release the Road Runners Club of America, the Rocky Mount Endurance Club and all sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in these club activities even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons referred to in this waiver. I also grant permission for all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of my participation in club activities for any legitimate purpose. In consideration of the safety of all participants, I agree to abide by all pedestrian laws, keep alert for any potential dangers and not to use any of the following while participating in these events: animals on leash, skateboards, inline or roller skates.
The Rocky Mount Endurance Club, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization is assisting the City of Rocky Mount Parks and Recreation with the hosting of the Sweetheart 5k. All event day activities will be directed by the Parks and Rec team.
